Celle has 75,000 population and is one of a very few medieval towns in Germany with beautiful preserved old houses and buildings dating back to the 15th century. In the centre of a charming park lies the wonderful "Celler Schloß", the former dukes castle which houses the oldest theatre in Germany.
In the middle of a well-groomed park rises the ducal palace containing a part of the museum, a wedding room and the oldest princly theatre in Germany.
Our Hotel "Altstädter Tor" is, as it's name says at the entrance to celles historical old town (pedestrian zone) and it's only a few Minutes to go to the most sights of our beautiful town
